I’ve spent the last 30 years helping bring new technology to market, from the earliest days of the Dot Com era to today’s dynamic cybersecurity and digital risk landscape. I’ve launched startups, led sales teams and organizations, driven go-to-market strategy, and worked alongside founders, CISOs, and boards as they navigate the evolving demands of innovation, governance, and growth.

My path hasn’t followed a straight line. I started as a historian, drawn to big ideas and the long arc of human behaviour. But beneath that was always a hacker’s mindset, a need to question assumptions, explore how systems really work, and find leverage and innovation in unexpected places. That mindset led me into technology, where I’ve spent decades learning how meaningful change happens. Not just through tools, but through people: through leadership, trust, and the relentless pursuit of better questions.

Over time, I’ve gravitated toward the friction points, where things break down.

Where communication stalls between technical teams and executive leadership.

Where startups struggle to gain enterprise traction.

Where defenders face impossible odds.

Where strategic alignment unravels under pressure.

That’s where I do my best work: bridging gaps, translating across domains, and applying that same hacker’s mindset to help others unlock potential in complex systems.
